Blog about my previous blog

As I have started my new blog on Medium, I thought of unearthing my old blog on Blogger and migrating some of the good ones here on Medium. The old blog has become a kind of pensieve of my thoughts stored over time :) I found quite a few interesting articles about how I saw things then and what I had predicted. In this blog, I would like to share some of the things I had blogged from 2006 to 2012. I know that some of this sounds boastful, but it feels good to look at your thoughts from the past!

First some of the business-related blogs and predictions! In 2011, I had written how data will be the key for mobile users and companies focusing on data will succeed (http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2011/06/data-vs-voice.html). Also, I had blogged in 2006 expressing fears about how Google will track our entire online life (https://aavaj.blogspot.com/2006/12/looking-beyond-googlemania.html). And another one from 2006, when Rang de Basanti had prompted me to think that producers will bombard the audience with multiple shows to recoup their costs over the first weekend itself (http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2006/01/rang-de-basanti-and-more.html).

Blogposts have mirrored my interests, so history does feature in many posts. Two interesting posts compare historical events in two seemingly different regions and how they have shaped their presents — Singapore-Mumbai (http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2010/08/singapore-mumbai.html) and Sudan-India (http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2011/01/sudan-india.html).

Sports, business, and culture have always intrigued me. Some musings about the Olympics (https://aavaj.blogspot.com/2008/08/olympic-medals-table.html), a lot of articles about football and cricket, of course (https://aavaj.blogspot.com/2010/03/things-are-not-always-black-white.html, http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2011/08/two-tiered-test-cricket.html).

And there were quite a few informative posts on a range of topics(based on my limited knowledge) from Basques (https://aavaj.blogspot.com/2006/02/basques.html) to identifying countries of origins based on the surnames (http://aavaj.blogspot.com/2006/01/countries-of-origin.html).

The topics had a wide range. However, I intend to keep the current blog focused. Business, economics, n some of my philosophical thoughts perhaps! I look forward to writing more such interesting posts!
